Create long, straight lengths of handrail by seamlessly connecting them together with this simple straight joint. For areas greater than 4m in length, your handrails can simply be cut to the correct size and joined to form a single straight rail, allowing visitors to enjoy the view from your raised deck or balcony.
The straight connector has the same modern 400 grit brushed satin finish as our handrails, which feels ultra-smooth to the touch, and the exterior grade 316 stainless steel contains 2% added molybdenum for improved corrosion resistance. While 316 stainless steel is renowned for its corrosion resistance, it is not immune to the potentially corrosive effects of exposure to salt, particularly in coastal areas. While it may provide enhanced protection compared to 304 stainless steel, the relentless presence of salt in sea air and its corrosive nature can still impact the material. Therefore, we do not recommend installing 316 stainless steel balustrade railings within a 10 mile proximity to the sea.
Designed for use with our 42.4mm diameter tube handrails, the shoulder joints slide inside the cylindrical rail which should be pre-drilled and fixed securely in position with easily available pop rivets.
