Dino’s decorative composite garden screens are for either indoor or outdoor use, they can be used against fences, as dividers or can even be used as indoor/outdoor wall panels for decoration. The 6mm screens are ideal for wall-mounting or using as a roof to add shade to an outdoor seating area. The 18mm panel is sturdier, so is better suited for building privacy screens and partitions or to achieve a chunkier, wall-mounted look. The composite screens are a reversible design with a smooth finish or wood grain effect.

Specification

Dino’s composite screens are available in:
  • Four designs: Areca, Mosaic, Botanic and Spectrum
  • Three colours: Anthracite, Black and Ivory.
  • Three sizes: 1800mm x 900mm, 1800mm x 300mm and 1200mm x 600mm
  • Two thicknesses: 18mm and 6mm.

Composition

Dino’s composite screens are constructed from recycled wood, HDPE and additives. The composition of Dino’s screens can vary slightly for each colour due to the composition of additives used to create the colour.

Application

The composite screens can be cut if required and to fit to an indoor or garden wall. To install, simply pre-drill a hole in each corner and screw through into a wall plug. If the screens are being used as partitions or fencing, they can be installed onto timber, concrete or aluminium posts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Materials Are Garden Screens Made From?

Garden screens can be made from a variety of materials, including glass, wood, metal, bamboo, or a combination of synthetic materials. When it comes to choosing whether to go for wooden garden screens, aluminium garden screens, or garden screens made from a completely different material, that will depend on where and how you plan on using them.

As far as our indoor and outdoor garden screens are concerned, they are constructed from three different materials, including recycled wood, HDPE (a type of thermoplastic polymer), and additives. This makes them perfect for various indoor and outdoor applications, such the ones pointed out in the next FAQ.

There are many different applications to garden screens. Due to their versatile nature, they can be used both indoors and outdoors. Some of the most common uses of garden screens include:

  • Seclude areas of the garden and add an extra layer of privacy
  • Reduce the wind in the most exposed areas of the garden
  • Provide shade to seating areas and plants during the warmer summer months
  • Enhance the visual appeal of the indoor or outdoor space
  • Act as a garden trellis and provide support for climbing plants

With that said, the above are just some common applications. It’s really up to you to decide how you want to use your decorative garden screens in the UK.

All you need to do is make sure that the material the garden screen is made out of can support your idea. For example, it’s not wise to buy glass garden screens and use them to shield your garden from high winds or heavy storms as they are more likely to shatter in more extreme weather conditions.

Yes, they are. Unlike our composite decking boards, which require a little bit more thought to install correctly, all you need to do to install Dino’s composite garden screens is to pre-drill a hole in each corner and screw through into a wall plug. That’s it.

Yes, they can. Just like our line of composite fencing products, our composite garden screens, which are made from practically the same material, won’t crack, split, or warp when they face harsh weather conditions for a prolonged period of time.

This is less true for timber garden screens, and even less so for those made out of glass or other fragile materials.

The process you need to follow to take care of your garden screens will depend on the material that they’re made out of. When it comes to Dino’s decorative composite garden screens, they are very low maintenance and don’t require any special treatment besides being cleaned with a hose or a pressure washer on a low setting every now and again.

If you have timber garden screens, however, the level of maintenance will be more extensive. If you buy black garden screens made out of timber, to preserve their look, you need to seal them to protect from moisture and UV damage, regularly clean them with a mild detergent to remove dirt and mildew, paint them, and more.
