Great quality
We decided to update and enlarge our all patio with a nice deck, and we couldn’t have chosen butter product.
We purchased the composite decking mocha the hidden fasteners (that made the work so beautiful and easy) and the bullnose edge that give a beautiful and smart finish to the deck.
Delivery was fast and the delivery guy really friendly.
I will recommend it 100%
When I heard there was a decking company minutes from where I grew up I ordered their sample pack and was impressed by their product. It was all delivered and dealing with the company over the phone was good. My only mistake really was then when I needed extra boards it is very expensive to have them delivered the 200 miles . My builder liked the product except for the edging strips which we first ordered as they are glued and screwed on to the deck boards and thus raised. This would ruin the look and so we sent those back and ordered the bull nose edges. These would give a seem less finish . They are so much better! A slight issue is they are not sitting totally tight on the corners. A solution we will look into. Both drivers who delivered were also friendly and helpful.
The product in general is very good. However there are a couple of engineering/quality issues that I found. Firstly, the bullnose edging is not perfectly symmetrical (is on the drawing, isn’t in real life), which means there is a ‘way up’ to ensure it aligns with the next edging piece. Found this out too late after cutting the corner angles. The edging is also slightly bowed, and the 3mm clips are not strong enough to hold it straight (I can’t put the clips on the side of the frame as it’s butted up to a wall). So the edging pings off the clips. The 3mm clips are one-way, which means you have to remove all the boards in reverse order just to change one board. Tricky when you’ve got 60 boards down and notice a crack in number 5… I think the 6mm clips are bi-directional, so you can remove individual boards, though not 100% sure of that. The 3mm clips are also thumb-killers if you try to push them in; you need an offcut of board to use instead of your thumb. The boards are quite brittle, so if you need to cut round shapes, beware, they may break.
The boards were good value and no issues with communication and deliver. Please with the colours, we used Ash and Savanna as a contrast.
I ordered the bull nose trim which in my opinion is poor value and difficult to secure when fitting to the steps.
Delivery was on the day they told us, and the driver rang around 45 minutes before he got here. Krystian was super quick, professional and friendly. No complaints at all – excellent service. The decking itself is currently going down so TBC on that but the quality looks excellent. The bullnose trim fixing into the boards isn’t as easy as it’s made out to be and the fasteners are a little fiddly, but our fitter is figuring it out… overall no issues so far.
