Good speedy service, ordered on Tuesday and delivered on Wednesday by a very helpful driver.
I ordered the Premium Deck for the added strength, fitting it was a little more fiddly than I had expected and the End Caps are a bit hit and miss as to whether they fit flush or not. I found myself making ‘L’ Brackets from the ‘T’ brackets to support the fitting of the corner edge profile where board ends were running to – possible additional product option needed here?
I ordered the skirting but found I did not need it as it was not quite what I thought it was going to be so have been left with this left over.
I am very happy with the finished result and it is great in wet weather as it has a good non-slip surface, I have already passed on my sample box to a neighbour for them to review for their forthcoming project.
Really good value. Excellent quality. Very easy to install. Looks so classy. It was great that it comes in 4m lengths . Easy to trim when necessary. The end caps were ordered later but just added the finishing touch. Delivery was super fast . Phone call beforehand and friendly obliging delivery driver. Would highly recommend this company.
Positive:
1) Boards are good quality, looks good.
2) Pedestals alone are good quality. Better than jouplast ones from wickes.
Negative:
1) End caps looks poor (same end caps for both classic and premium range). They are from premium material, but looks off on classic.
2) Purchased aluminium joists, there were no aluminium pedestals left, so sales suggested to buy timber pedestals as universal ones. They do not fit, too big and then with their provided screws doesn’t work and are loose. Had to do a trip to Wickes to buy decking screws!
3) Hidden fasteners – and their original screws isn’t great fit, too easily it goes down to the fastener, damages it and then you can’t get a screw back.
4) Fascia too small and poor quality.
5) Torx bits aren’t magnetic. Try to screw 400 screws per deck with non magnetic bit. Just purchase somewhere else.
All in all, the boards are most important and they are good and good looking. Assembly could be better.
